Farm Details: A peaceful 25-acre hobby farm with 10 acres of natural bush, wildlife, horses, chickens, 1 friendly dog (out), 2 cats (in), vegetable garden and fruit trees. Air-conditioning, wood fire, wide verandahs, bush trails and dam offer a relaxing way to experience and learn about farm life and the south-west Australian bush.
Farm Activities: Enjoy a tour of our farm and native bush; collect fresh chicken eggs to cook and eat for breakfast; learn about looking after the farm animals – keeping the chicken pen and stables clean, bringing the horses in for dinner, brushing them and mixing feeds; learn about organic gardening – manure collection through to composting and fertilising – and see how we collect and use our precious water; bush walks – see our wildlife and native trees and (seasonal) wildflowers; afternoon tea and barbeque on the veranda; hand feed wild birds and collect their feathers, and watch our cockatoos come in to roost at night; collect firewood and enjoy the log fire after dinner; watch the stars fill the sky in the evening – explore further with our telescope if you wish; gather round an evening bonfire in the cold season (if weather permits); after dinner enjoy games, crafts, play with the animals or learn about our unique wildlife and flora from a large library of books, photos and videos – we love to share! Visits to local wildlife rescuers and historic places of interest for stays of 2 nights or more.

Access

Train/public transport – access to the Avon Valley via train is easy and affordable from Perth. Catch the train from Perth Station to the closest train station to the farm. On arrival, your farm host will meet you and provide a complimentary transfer. Train tickets are at your own expense.

Private car transfer – available upon request at an additional cost.

Self-drive – if you choose to self-drive, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to get to your farm.
